Northside Animal Hospital is a full service hospital offering comprehensive care for your pet. We provide routine preventative care, modern diagnostic services and surgical medical care for companion animals. Some of the services we provide include:
- Dentistry
Our dentistry procedures include tooth scaling, tooth polishing, dental charting, and oral examination, including periodontal evaluation. Treatment also includes anesthetic monitoring, pain management, and post-operative antibiotics. We also provide surgical tooth extractions and periodontal treatments as indicated.
- Exotic Pets and Pocket Pets
Dr. Skarich has extensive training and experience providing veterinary care to exotic pets and pocket pets. Northside Animal Hospital is happy to offer comprehensive healthcare for snakes, turtles and lizards, as well as rabbits, rats, hamsters and guinea pigs.

- Surgical and Anesthetic Monitoring
A Doctor and Technician are with your pet the entire time they are under anesthesia. During surgery, we carefully monitor all pets by utilizing wireless technology. This includes continuous ECG monitoring, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, body temperature and respiration rate. Additional support for your anesthetized pet may include IV fluids and medication for pain management. Your pet is placed into a kennel where they are continuously monitored and once fully awake offered food, water and walked outside. Your pet is treated to a full day of pampering.
- Surgical Information
- Our surgical days are Tuesday and Thursday
- Drop off is either the night before or beginning at 8:30am that morning
- No food after 12midnight the night before surgery, water is OK
- Pick-up between 3-5pm, for your convenience, owner calls first to see how quickly pet is waking up
- Declaws are hospitalized overnight
